HOW DO I KNOW THAT AN IS REALLY FROM WELISTYOU? |
If you receive an email that appears to be from Welistyou that requests sensitive personal information, be cautious. The email may be a "spoof" or "phishing" email. The people who send these fake emails hope that unsuspecting recipients will reply or click on a link contained in the email and then provide sensitive personal information including passwords, social security numbers or credit card numbers. |
LEGITIMATE WELISTYOU EMAILS: |
Welistyou will never ask you to provide account numbers, passwords or other sensitive information through a direct email. If Welistyou does request information from you, that email will be sent directly to your My Summary Box in your Welistyou Account. If you have any doubt that an email really is from Welistyou, open a new browser window, type www.Welistyou.com, and sign in. Any email that looks as if it is from Welistyou, mentions a problem with your account or requests personal information, and that information is not in “My Summary” Box in My Welistyou Account, is a spoof (fake) email. |
SPOOF EMAILS: |
Spoof emails often include the use of the Welistyou logo and an Welistyou address in the "From" line (for example, "From: support@Welistyou.com"). The email may mimic common Welistyou emails, such as notifications of problems with your account, "Ask lister a question" emails or general messages about your Welistyou experience.
Spoof emails typically have the following characteristics.
- Requests sensitive information. (Example: Please update your credit card number).
- Starts with a generic greeting. (Example: Dear Welistyou member)
- Has an urgent tone for quick action. (Example: “Ignoring this message will result in a suspension of your account within 24 hours”).
- Contains links to Web pages that resemble the Welistyou sign-in page. (Example spoof Web link: http://signin-Welistyou.com/)
Indemnity and Non Liability:
You understand that Welistyou has no control over any spoof emails. Welistyou will not be liable for damages of any nature arising from or relating to such content or access thereof by anyone else through your account. Some states or jurisdictions do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain types of liability. Therefore, the above limitations of liability may not apply to you to that extent, and nothing in this section should be construed as excluding or limiting Welistyou's liability beyond what is permissible under applicable law. You agree not to hold Welistyou responsible for any damages or other liabilities arising from such spoof emails. Because Welistyou is not and cannot be involved in your dealings with such persons sending you spoof emails, in the event that you have a dispute with one or more such persons, you release Welistyou (and our agents and employees) from any and all claims, demands, and damages (actual and consequential) of every kind and nature, known and unknown, suspected and unsuspected, disclosed and undisclosed, arising out of or in any way connected with such disputes.
